Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, tasteless and very toxic gas. Even in very small quantities, CO causes headaches, nausea, dizziness, disorientation and fatigue, which are often mistaken for flu.
CO is produced by incomplete burning of fuels in heaters, boilers, engines, oil burners, gas fires, water heaters and open fires.
The presence of CO in the blood can lead to brain damage and even death.
The MCT-442 Provides visual and audible alarm indications when CO is detected and can be used as a stand alone detector, when connected to the powermax+ , audio alerts and visual area-specific emergency signals can be herd and seen via the controller and are then transmitted to a private phone "connection to telephone line is required"
